Question by : What do I need to major in if i want to teach web design/graphic design for high school students?
I’m aware that this is probably not a great job, but it is what I would like to do. If not both, at least one. I’m just not sure what exactly I need to take, I thought maybe just education but How would that narrow down to web design and graphic design?

You have to further go for higher studies in the faculty which you desire to be a teacher to high school students. Design/graphic is a vast area which is developing day-by-day. Do according to your own ambitions. Good luck.

I’m an experienced freelance web designer and I’m going to start teaching web design at a small computer center. If I teach using Dreamweaver, I’m afraid the students will not bother to learn up HTML. But if I teach html and css coding with notepad, it seems to difficult or too tedious for beginners ?

I suggest html the old way first, then the new (frontpage-esque) way.
I believe Dreamweaver has an html mode where you type html code.

What exactly will a web design college class teach me to do?

Question by : What exactly will a web design college class teach me to do?
I was interested in web design, and have been thinking of trying it out. What would that class allow me to do once I am finished. Will it give me the skill and training to design a decent website? Or do you have to take additional advanced classes to do much with it?

I plan on creating a website in the near future. I understand basic HTML but I know that doesn’t get me very far. So my idea was to take some web design classes and go from there. Help! Thank you!

Web Design isnt a major, though you can take a course on it.

Basically, it is just HTML, MySQL, and DataSocket.
The latter 2 deal with setting up servers.
